The assault leading to the arrest happened on Wednesday, May 22, when a victim was stabbed during a domestic incident at a Somers residence, New York State Police announced on Tuesday, May 28.
The victim was later taken to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not detail the exact location of the stabbing.
The suspect, 19-year-old Marino DeRosa of Somers, was arrested and charged with:
- Second-degree assault;
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
DeRosa was later arraigned in the Town of Somers Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail.
